Smart home setup help

You already bought it.
We'll make it work.

The box on the counter. The bulbs that only work from one app. The Home Assistant install that got to 80% and stopped. We finish smart home projects other people started - including yours.

No hardware to buy from us. No package to sign up for. Visits start at $59 out the door.

However you got here

Three different ways people end up with smart home gear that isn't doing anything. All three are normal, and all three are fixable.

It's still in the box

You bought the doorbell in March. It's in a drawer. Not because you couldn't - because the instructions assumed you already knew things, and the afternoon it needed never showed up.

You'd rather not

You could do it. You've read the forum thread. You just don't want to spend a Saturday on it, and you'd rather hand someone $59 than lose the afternoon. That's a completely good reason to call.

It's half working

The install went fine. It's everything after that. Devices dropping off Wi-Fi, a hub that lost its pairings, an automation that silently stopped firing, four apps that won't talk to each other.

What we actually get called for

If yours isn't on this list, it probably still belongs here. Ask.

A video doorbell that needs mounting and wiring properly Smart bulbs and plugs that only work from their own app A thermostat that installed but never learned your schedule Cameras that record but never notify you A smart lock that won't calibrate or keeps jamming Alexa or Google that can't see half your devices Devices that drop off Wi-Fi every few days A Home Assistant install that stalled partway Zigbee or Z-Wave devices that won't pair or keep dropping Automations that worked once and quietly stopped A system the last person set up and never explained Everything in one app instead of seven

This is the work

Locks, thermostats, vents, lighting and dashboards - finished, mounted straight, and actually doing something. Some of these started as somebody else's half-done project.

What it costs

$59 out the door

That's the minimum visit - one small job, done properly. A smart plug. A bulb. One device finally talking to the rest of the house.

Less than an electrician, more than a handyman. Electricians run $100 to $150 an hour just to show up, and a handyman can hang the device but can't make it do anything. We're specialists - we program it to actually behave the way you want.

Anything bigger gets a flat price before any work starts, so you know the number in advance. No hourly meter running while we troubleshoot, no subscription, and nothing you have to keep paying for afterward.

Common questions

What if I bought the equipment somewhere else?

That's the whole point of this service. You already own it - we set it up. There's no hardware to buy from us and no markup to avoid.

My smart home worked and then stopped. Can you fix it?

Yes, and it's one of the most common calls we get. Devices drop off Wi-Fi, hubs lose pairings, app updates break integrations, and automations stop firing without telling anyone. Troubleshooting an existing setup is normal work, not a special case.

Do I need Home Assistant?

No. Most homes run perfectly well on Alexa, Google Home or Apple Home, and we work in all of them. Home Assistant is for people who want everything local, private, and in one place - we build those too, but it's a choice, not a requirement.

Is there a catch to the $59?

No. It's a real minimum visit, not a diagnostic fee that turns into something else. If the job is bigger than that, you get a flat price before we start and you can say no.

Which areas do you serve?

Nashville and the surrounding area, including Davidson and Williamson counties. If you're not sure whether you're in range, just ask.

Tell us what's stuck

Describe it in a sentence - "three bulbs and an Echo that won't cooperate" is plenty. We'll tell you what it takes and what it costs before anyone drives anywhere.
